Please be aware that as in previous years our office will be closed between Christmas and New Year, so please make plans to get your time sheets in early in December.

For Our Managed Account Clients

The scheduled pay date for monthly paid employees in December is the 31st (last working day).  Employees are not automatically entitled to be paid earlier because of the Christmas break.

We do recognise that some employers may wish to move forward the pay date for their employees, and therefore if you would like your staff paid before Christmas we are offering an early pay date of 20th December, if sufficient funds are available at that point. Please note that Funding bodies might not credit funds earlier for Christmas. So you may wish to check funds will be available with your funding body before you inform your employees of a change to their scheduled pay date of 31st December.

An early Christmas payday is an additional service charged at £10.00 plus VAT per payment and must be paid in advance by credit/debit card.  Please be aware that this will not be budgeted in your support plan so should not be paid for from your funding.

Should you wish to use this service, you must notify us by email only by 15th Nov including a valid telephone number, so that we can contact you for payment. Requests for this service made by telephone will not be accepted. If we are unable to reach you to take payment by 25th November the request will be cancelled.

Timesheets must be received by 9th December to qualify for the early pay date and any received after this date will not be paid on the early pay run.

Whilst this service is available we recommend that clients do not opt for the early pay date, and stick to the standard ‘last working day’ schedule as this provides employees with a regular gap between payments throughout the year.

David Howard payroll and admin team always action payrolls and requests in the order they are received, and we are unable to ‘bump’ people up the list who submit their hours late – so make sure you mark your calendars, or sign up for our text reminder service.

Our offices will close at midday on Tuesday 24th December and will not reopen until Thursday 2nd January 2020  so please work with us to get your employees paid on time.

A full list of our deadlines is available on our website.
