National Minimum Wage & National Living Wage

From April 2023 the national living wage and the national minimum wage are increasing. As an employer you need to make sure that all your employees earn at least the NMW.

The new rates from April 2023 are:

Aged 23 and Over £10.42   (April 2022 rate was £9.50)

Age 21 to 22 £10.18            (April 2022 rate was £9.18)

Age 18 to 20 £7.49              (April 2022 rate was £6.83)

Under 18 £5.28                   (April 2022 rate was £4.81)

Apprentice £5.28                 (April 2022 rate was £4.81)

 

We can confirm that dhpayroll will automatically uplift hourly rates and salaries for our clients’ employees in the April 2023 payroll, should the salary payments otherwise have fallen below the minimum salary for their age.
